CTLA is a non-profit, volunteer, independent and professional association. CTLA was founded in the 40's and emphasizes Chicago Public Schools (CPS) library media services and curriculum for elementary schools. CTLA works closely with the Dept. of Library and Information Services to complement activities, though we are independent of CPS and receive no funding from them. All CTLA funds come from membership dues. Dues are used to support our stated purpose. Our Constitution/By-Laws, minutes and other resources are available on this website.
